ARROW student Başak Rakıcı presents at ROSEI summit
ARROW student Başak Rakıcı, working with ARROW faculty Dennice Gayme and Yury Dvorkin, presents the poster “Probabilistic AEP Estimation Using Seasonal Variability and Wind Shear Uncertainty” recently at the Ralph O’Connor Sustainable Energy Institute (ROSEI) summit at Johns Hopkins University.
Başak’s research focuses on wind resource variability and the joint distribution of wind speed, wind direction, and wind shear. Her work investigates how these atmospheric variabilities influence probabilistic annual energy production (AEP) estimates for wind farms. By incorporating these uncertainties into AEP distributions, her research aims to support more reliable wind resource assessments, improved energy system planning, and better uncertainty quantification for wind energy projects.
