Infrastructure
ARROW-Infrastructure innovates in the realm of the machines and structures that enable efficient and economical generation of power from offshore winds, specifically:
- reliability, resilience and system-level de-risking frameworks for OSW systems
- geostructural reliability for resilient fixed and floating OSW support structures
- structural health monitoring (SHM) for enhanced rotor and nacelle reliability
- fluid-blade interaction modeling for improved turbine performance prediction.
The first task provides an overall framework for reliability and resilience of the entire OSW system. Each of the other tasks will reduce uncertainties associated with turbine and support structure performance, thereby increasing reliability of the OSW infrastructure system, and interjecting resilience into the system.
